We are happy to invite you for already becoming a traditional annual "private show" of genuine Russian lacquer boxes by Black Lacquer Co-operative from the 5th till 10th of October 2006 in Minneapolis, MN, USA. It will take place in apartment of one of our American collectors - Dave Christensen located at 2835 Rice St. #911, Roseville, MN 55113. Parking for the show will be free. You will have a chance to find your own treasure or unique gift from approximately 250 unique boxes from Palekh, Fedoskino, Kholuy and Mstera (many not even listed on our website). It will be an informal free private show with everybody highly welcomed from 1.30 till 8.00 pm. We will have as usual Russian music and a bit of Russian vodka... just a bit. You could bring your own boxes for free appraisal and authenticity qualification if you like. There will be a one hour free seminar (questions and answers mainly) given by Mr. Christensen as a knowledgeable long-term American collector and Co-operative's representative about Russian lacquer boxes on Saturday the 7th at 4pm. We will have many different shapes (from broaches to complicated Persian 9-sided chests), sizes and colors; modern and old collectable boxes, new Russian icons and decorative wall plaques. There will be the full range of quality starting from rather simple (but still genuine) broaches through the gift quality boxes to masterpieces of most well-known top artists. Please feel free to register in advance either through the email: info@palekh.net or by contacting Dave Christensen and receive your 10 % off coupon from our low internet prices. We participated in an interesting specialized lacquer exhibition in the Museum of Decorative and Applied Art (Moscow, Delegatskaya str.), which took place from June till September 2010 and was organized by Ludmila Pirogova, who is the head of lacquer department in the museum. We are proud that almost ten pieces of our leading artist (Natalia Kurkina, Roman Chibisov, Galina Ghiriakova, Dennis and Svetlana Primakovs, Alexey Ghiriakov and few others) were carefully selected to be exhibited in the main exposition. Some of those masterpieces could be found in our inventory.
