Absolutely unique only 3rd in the world set of decorative furniture ever made in the Palekh (actually wherever in Russian lacquered miniature centres), one is in the Palekh State Museum of Art, second is in the Ples State Museum of Art (Ivanovo region) and this is the third (with absolutely another theme on) and the only for sale, one table and four chairs. Painted on well prepared, dried and covered with levkas wood by the whole generations of Palekh masters - very well known Alexander M. Kurkin (author of illustrations of so many Russian Fairytales books, his son Boris (he made mainly the gold borders, ornaments and highlighting) and his great son Alexander (lacquering and polishing mainly). The chairs are painted on all sides, table in two levels and all the legs are covered with fascinating ornament. All the pieces lacquered six times and completely polished by hands !!! There is even a special video tape with all the stages of the family work during nearly two years!!!
